It is the companies plan to reduce the number of new construction starts to 3-5 new houses per year and continue to increase its design/ remodeling business. It is this sector of the industry that is increasing at an expanded rapid pace. Matullo and Sons Inc.has gained an excellent reputation as one of the foremost remodeling organizations in the Southern Maryland area and we intend to expand this segment of our business. It is in our clients and the Company’s best interests to minimize concurrent starts, and to plan for minimal project overlaps, thus maintaining a high level of excellence on each project that carries the company’s name and reputation. While this is a conservative undertaking, it is one that will provide the best overall results for our clients. The Company concentrates its building activities primarily in Calvert County, Maryland but markets throughout all of Southern Maryland; projects have been completed in Anne Arundel, Prince George and Charles Counties.
In Calvert County the Company will spec build in South County in the $150,000-$250,000 range, and in Mid-County, in the $250,000-$450,000 price range. Historically, the Company has built in Northern Calvert County with firm contractual commitments in excess of $700,000 per project, but will only spec build in this area as market and needs may dictate. The company continues to develop and expand its waterfront property remodeling projects with distinctive and unique custom designs that adds substantial modern open architecture with updated electrical, plumbing and HVAC that meet new building codes and new energy efficient heating and cooling systems.
The Company is marketing its Colonial Farmhouse series and lot packages at throughout Calvert County including Patuxent Palisades, Cove of Calvert and other well known and upscale developments. The Company also provides custom quotes for projects in these areas.
