Matullo and Sons Inc., a family owned enterprise, has been in the construction business since 1983. The enterprise was incorporated with the formation of Oriole Builders as a subsidiary. They are prime builders of custom homes as well as home remodelers and renovation specialists in the southern Maryland area. As a certified Maryland Home Improvement Commission Contractor, Matullo and Sons also provides contracting services for home improvement including additions second story additions, garages, decks, sunrooms and major remodeling of all types.

Custom Built

The term “Custom Built” can be defined in many different ways; but, the universal thinking is almost always constant, i.e., custom building costs more. This is an invalid assumption. At Matullo & Sons, Inc., we define custom building as allowing our clients the “freedom of choice” to modify and enhance any given house design in order to meet their particular life style and personal preferences. When done correctly, the Custom Built house is no more costly than the standard ‘cookie cutter’ variety that has been replicated dozens of times. Advance planning with the client and the creation of a detailed custom specification will eliminate guesswork and subsequent hidden costs, which is also the key to developing a sensible and achievable remodeling project.
